What Is the Coronavirus Disease 2019?

According to the CDC, the Coronavirus Disease 2019, or Covid-19, is a new coronavirus that has not been previously identified, that causes a respiratory illness that can lead to death. The virus spreads from person to person when people are in close contact with one another, or by touching a surface or an object that has the virus on it. Symptoms appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus, and can include; fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficult breathing, and a new loss of taste or smell.
